Vixia HF52 Audio feedback

I am using the HF52 as a source for a closed circuit tv to view in a building across the street from our church.  We are running HDMI over coax and converting back to HDMI.

For audio we are trying to connect to the sound board to the mic input.  It works okay as long as there is something coming through the board such as music playing.  When there is a pause, feedback starts up and builds with a loud hum until the music starts again.  I need help to eliminate the feedback.

Try turning on manual level control for the external microphone.  What you are hearing is the automatic gain control ramping up the gain when there is no audio coming in to the camera.
