Vixia HF R600 shuts off while filming

We are using our camera for baseball and they were working before, but now one for them shuts off while filming and I can figure out how to fix it. The cord is plugged in and should not be doing this.

Greetings Thedoublefoot,

Check to see if there is any debris around the connector from the cable that provides power to the camcorder since this may cause improper contact and for the camera to shut off randomly. Please also check to see if there is any twist, kink, or break in the cord where there may be an issue with the wires where they would create a power loss.

In some cases, a malfunctioning memory card may cause performance issues with the camcorder and we would suggest seeing if the same issue occurs when using a different memory card. Please also check to see if this camcorder feels warmer than the others which would indicate a sign of overheating.

If the issue persists, then we would have suggested on sending the VIXIA HF R600 to our facility for repair, but this model has reached the end of its service life. An alternative option may be to see if you are eligible for the Canon Upgrade Program.

The Canon Upgrade Program option allows you to replace your current camcorder with a new or refurbished Canon camcorder at a discounted price. If you would like to take part in the Canon Upgrade Program, please call our Sales Department at 1-866-443-8002 from Monday - Saturday between 9:00 am to 9:00 pm ET. Be sure to have your serial number for your camcorder available at the time of your call.

Is there anything in the settings that would cause this camera to do this?
