Hi! Looking to see if anyone knows another app or software to watch videos once downloaded instead of recoil? When I plug my card in to download the videos it tries to use recoil but my computer doesn’t support this platform. I’ve tried the basics on a windows computer but nothing has worked so far. It is a Canon Vivxa HF R400; it’s an older version. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank You

Greetings,
What version and build of Windows OS are you running?
This camcorder supports two video formats. AVCHD and .MP4
HF-R400 support:
https://www.csai.canon.com/support/p/vixia-hf-r400
VLC media player will play back AVCHD and MP4 videos. It's a free download. Make sure you download it from the VLC website and not from a third party.
