I have a Vixia HF R11 and was wondering if you can record straight to an SD memory card without having to fill up the internal memory first?

Hi bickfarms,

You can select to record your movies and photos in the built-in memory or on a memory card.  The built-in memory is the default memory for recording both.  Please follow these steps:

1. Open the menu.
2. Select [Rec Media for Movies] or [Rec Media for Photos].
3. Select the memory card.
4. Press <FUNC>.
