Read miniDV from Optura 40 but Recorded on Optura 200MC

I have a bunch of miniDV tapes that were recorded on an Optura 200MC. Unfortunately, my 200 MC camcorder seems to be dead. I got an Optura 40 which I believe is a generation behind the 200 MC. Will I lose any video quality when transferring videos through the optura 40? Note that I am planning to use the firewire port on the camera to transfer the videos. I still need to find the right software to do that...

miniDV records in digital, so the actual data being transfered to your computer will be identical.
