I just started to record using the PF30 frame rate with my HF100. When I played it back via hdmi to my plasma set, the set indicated a 1080i signal. Doesn't this defeat the purpose of using a progressive frame rate when it interlaces it for viewing?
I just started recording in FXP mode [17 bit] since I vastly upgraded my computer and home theater system. I now have the power and storage room for the largest files. I see on the newer cameras a bit rate of 24 in MXP mode. Has anyone been able to tell a difference in the two modes? Perhaps with a 55" or larger set you would?
