The quality of the image is limited by the size of the recording. For High Definition (HD) movies has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and so would an image extracted from this movie.
When compared to a still image with a resolution of 4000 x 2248 pixels (in this case, the PowerShot S110), the image should be a good one, but it's limited by the resolution.
