HOW GOOD IS THE XA 20 FOR RECORDING NIGHT SKY EVENTS IN IR MODE OR IS IT JUST FOR FACES UP CLOSE?

I WANT TO KNOW  IF THE XA 20 CAMCORDER HAS ENOUGH IR ILLUMINATION POWER TO RECORD STARS,SATTELITES ,POSSIBLE UFOS .   WILL IT BE A GRAINY MESS OR WILL THERE BE SOMETHING OF IDENTIFIABLE RESOLUTION?

Hello SB7,

The IR recording mode on the XA20 could potentially be used for this, it is reading infrared after all, but we don't think it would have enough light gathering ability to properly record this.  So despite it having the potential as being used this way it would be difficult to recommend it specifically for this purpose.
