Hello, I just bought a new HF G60 and when I plugged in a new small monitor to the camcorder via mini-HDMI to HDMI cable, I am getting "No Signal" at the monitor. So I swapped DVD cable and monitors and I am getting same "NoSignal" sign. On the camcorder, at the "Output Status", I am getting Video---- and Audio----- on the camcorder's LCD screen. I can't seem to find a way to turn on the HDMI signal. I've ruled out other hardware so I know there is no output signal being generated from the camcorder. I looked at the manual and there isn't much. Is there an "On" button for HDMI signal on the camcorder? Thanks!

Hi there,
Is the monitor 1080 or 4k? There is a menu option labeled [HDMI Max Resolution] which you will want to match with the monitor resolution so that it is receiving the right signal type.

Thank you! That's probably what it is - my monitor is not compatible. But my monitor is HDMI 1920 x 1080. Shouldn't that easily work with the correct setting? I selected both 1080 and 4K before and there was still nothing. I also plugged it into my gaming monitor and still nothing. I know my gaming monitor can handle 4K easily...

Sangwoo, did you ever get to the bottom of why you external monitor was not working? I've tried multiple external monitors, that work with my old Canon camcorder, and none of them work. The manual says that you have to enable external monitor, but its not clear on were you go to do that.
