At our church we have 2 Canon XF100 camcorders. The past few weeks they both appear to be randomly focusing in and out in the center of the screen. Auto focus is off, face detection is off. What could it be? This is after 4+ years with ZERO issues.

Do multiple people use the cameras?
Poor indoor lighting can cause focus to "hunt". In addition, certain colors can also affect focus. Not sure what you are filiming or the conditions?
Factory reset one of the camcorders and see if it continues to behave the same.
