Canon Vixia HF G10

I just bought a Canon Vixia HF G10 a fiew month ago and I am trying to download my movies to My MacBook Pro (about 2 years old) I have OS 10.8.2. with Final Cut Pro 7. How can I do it. It seams that my movies are in "AVCHD" and final cut pro does not recognize that format. Thanks for your help! Benoit

We're sorry to hear that you are having issues downloading video into Final Cut Pro 7.  Instead of just downloading video into FCP, it is very likely that you will need to perform a Log and Capture function.  This would be considered the first step in bringing video into FCP.  Please note that Canon does not support FCP as a general software suite, as this is not Canon software.  We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you at this time.
