Canon HF R72 - Buttons stopped responding, only records through Camera Access Phone App

Camer a has been working great until 4 days ago.  When i open the screen the camera powers up, however the record button, On/Off button as well as the Play button do not work.  The zoom works as well as all onscreen funtions.  The only way i have found to record is by synching with the CameraAccess mobile app.  Thoughts?
