Canon Selphy CP800 - Ink Cassette Message

Hello -I just installed a brand new ink cassette into my Canon Selphy CP800 but it won't work. The screen displays the following message...ink cassette is empty insert new ink cassette. Any help would be greatly appreciated!Thank you!
