Canon did respond to my email referring them to the link for this forum. Their response was that the issue is to complex to handle by email, and that I should phone them.I phoned them. The Tech Support Rep advised that Canon had released new Drivers ...
I had the same thing problem, and after many failed attempts at fixing, I restored my computer to Windows 7, then reinstalled everything from backups. With all the updates and reboots, this took a couple of days. Very frustrating!!
I finally called the Canon Tech Support help line. The Toolbox software was being installed in the wrong folder. The agent on the helpline quided me through the process to fix the problem. Now everything works as before.
