Scan multiple pages into one pdf file

How can I scan multiple pages into one pdf file ? I have a Canon E510, changed the settings to pdf but still no success.

At the end of the scanning process, the (scanned) document is forwarded immediately to the designated file in my PC. No message or option to continue scanning.

It does not show this option. I guess my printer model lacks this software. Thanks for yr reply.
