eos 70d won't pair with iphone5

I've downloaded the EOS Remote app to my iphone5. I've followed the EOS instructions to Enable WiFi on the EOS 70D. My iphone doesn't find the EOS SSID. Has anyone run into this? What did you do to solve it?
