glad to hear that is working for you. Here in Canada, they asked for $160 so it is not worth getting it fixed...still haven't heard anything from anybody at Canon on this forum who might facilitate getting this fixed.
John: there are no other shutter releases...wired or otherwise. I tried setting it on delay and it still didn't take for about 5 or 6 times til it "warms up". Then it works fine. Turned it off again and when I turned it back on, the same hesitati...
Just to update, taking a video doesn't really help. It's just that video is the only thing that works. It still takes an unknown amount of time and pressing the shutter button before it works...
Interesting idea that it is a physical problem. Once it starts to work it will continue until turned off or set aside. I always felt it was a software problem. But, no matter what, if this is common, why doesn't Canon come up with a free fix? It will...
