are you sure? my EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens and 50mm f/1.8 made in Taiwan. as well as all my friends. Mine ef 24-105mm f4L IS USM and ef 100-400mm f/4,5-5,6L IS USM made in Japan
