EOS R5 Mark II can't take a picture when paired with a telescope

I am trying o take a picture with my R5 Mark ii using my telescope as a lens. I have the adapter for the camera to pair with the telescope. The camera automatically goes into MF mode but I can’t take a picture. Does anyone know why?
