EOS R7 shutter button won't respond when using Bower 500mm lens

Hi... I tried using the Bowe 500mm on my R7 but I found out that I can't take a shot as the shutter button wont responds. Do anyone know if the lense works with the mirrorless cameras or there is a problem with my camera?? Thank you

Exactly...I want to see the outcome of the lense after editing the photo and if it's any good for wild life photography

I have the canon 400mm too I wanted to try the Bower with R7 + 1.4x extender Thank you for the information
