I just found the fix that worked for me in this thread - Fix For MF Scan Utility Failures Windows 11 24H2My Scan Utility is working now.

Has anyone seen an update on this issue?  I would like to use this feature.

I hope Canon and MS can work to resolve the issue.  I have two Brothers printer / scanners in the household that seem to work fine with WIN 11.

Update, I loaded the SW including the Scan utility on my wife's Windows 10 machine and found it it works as expected.  So this does point to a Windows 11 issue
