PIXMA TR7820 How to scan documents to send to an email address

How do you set up the Cannon Pixma TR7820 so that one can scan documents on the printer and have sent to an email address? I have tried everything and nothing is working. As of right now this Cannon Pixma TR7820 is NOT user friendly.Thank YouNancy
