PIXMA MG5422 Won't ask for password when trying to connect to router

Any reason why my canon pixma MG5400 series printer doesn’t ask for my internet password when trying to connect to my new T-Mobile router. Switched from Xfinity to T-Mobile and now printer won’t connect
