My PIXMA MX479 Scanner looks washed out when scanning pictures.

Recently, my Canon PIXMA MX479 appears to be washed out when scanning pictures, It looks whiter than usual on the preview scan, and I don't know what's the issue It never happened before. I would appreciate if someone would help me out here. Thanks.
