Loading my MF 229Dw printer on a new Mac

I have located the downloads for my printer on the Canon site. To load from scratch do I need to download the drivers package & firmware package for my model to have the full downloads for complete operation? Thanks for any help. Gary

Printer has both a wireless connection & hardwired.
