I'm sorry to report that it was a coincidence. Blink detection has no affect. My shutter will sometimes not work either way. It's amazing to me that the camera will work fine for 3 days and then stop working.

So far a coincidence. I turned the blink detection on and the camera shutter still working. I will keep testing it for a few days.

Turning off Blink Detection solved my S100 shutter problem

Someone posted that the turning off of blink detection solved the problem. I did it and it's still fixed on day 3.
