MB 2720 How to fix Error Message 7100

Have an error message 7100 on MB 2720. Have tried turning off and unplugging. No paper jams. Is there a way to reset printer to get it back to normal?
Maxify MB2720 - Scan pictures

I am just trying to scan pictures for the first time on my Maxify MB2720 printer. My pictures are scanning with a dark shadow on all of them. What can I do with settings to prevent this?
