UC8000 AV Cable Needed

ChrisP1

Hello, I'd like to look at the 8mm video's made when I bought this camcorder in about 1999, but have not used for nearly 20 years. The manual says I need a C-250 AV Cable, but I can't seem to find the one I was probably supplied with. I've googled but can't seem to find one, not even on ebay or Amazon. Can anyone advise where I can get one of an alternative?

Greetings,

Unfortunately, the UC8000 doesn't have sVideo output.  This would be the best for color rendition and image quality.

You can likely use any "250" compatible cable with a 3.5mm plug and RCA connectors.  You will use the white for audio and the yellow for video.  The red is for "R" channel audio which you don't have on the UC8000.

If you just want this done.  I'd google for a video transfer service that can make DVD's for you.  They have the equipment and can do it for you a lot more quickly than you can. 😉
