My trusted and much used Vixia mini X has a problem with the flexible cable connecting to the screen, I have had to remove the retaining plate which now lets the screen work at most angles, but it periodically loses its display and can be temporarily fixed by moving the flex cable. I guess I have worn it out.
I have taken it apart and ensured that the connectors are well made, and all is good, there is a bend in the flex cable where it was clamped to the display, and I believe this is where the cable has become damaged.
"All" I need is a replacement cable, but it seems Canon has stopped support. Anybody know if spares can be obtained and what the part number is?

Hi @ukphotoguy, I'm curious to know if you were able to fix your Vixia mini X?
I'm having a screen issue with mine as well (which I just posted in the Canon forum here) – but I have no experience fixing cameras. I've been turned away from camera repair shops who said they don't service these models, so I ordered an LCD Flex Cable off of eBay after a quick Google search.
I wanted to ask what tools you used to repair your camera? I'm desperate to get mine fixed, and with no professional repair options, I'm willing to take it upon myself to fix my camera. Thanks in advance for your help.
