CN-E Compact Servo Lens Rocker/Handle Attachment LANC Port

Spassvogel

I have a question about the two CN-E servo lenses (The 18-80mm and the 70mm-200mm). I suspect I know the answer, but wanted to check here.

I have read the manual for the lens, and there's a zoom controller port that seems to only work with the $2000 ZSD-300D zoom demand controller.  Some sellers of the CN-E Compact zoom lenses include the optional zoom rocker/handle attachment.  Does that attachment have a LANC port on it, that would work with the Canon ZR-2000?

This forum is intended for EF mount consumer lenses.  I would suggest that you post this question in on of the Professional Video forums.  Or, perhaps a Moderator could move this thread for you.

I don't think it's unreasonable to ask the question here. This part of the forum is labeled Professional Video, and the lenses are EF mount.

To the OP, I would suggest that you talk to a dealer or directly to Canon. I can only relate my experience with the C100 mk2. Here too, the Remote socket is listed as for use with a dedicated Canon remote control with no mention of LANC. Low and behold when I tried a simple stop/start and zoom LANC controller it worked fine.

Hi!  As the item in question appears to be neither a camera nor a lens, we moved it to the Video Accessories board as we felt that was the best fit for it.  Carry on!

Yeah, The CN-E Compact servo lenses are EF lenses. This is the most sensible place to post it.  Now it will be in a forum that almost nobody frequents, so thanks for nothing Danny.

Local Pro camera/video employees don't know anything deep about these products, which was why I posted here.

Not helpful Danny as the op quite clearly states that he is talking about CN-E Servo Zoom Lenses!
