Hi there….
I have just bought a used Canon 7Dii from eBay from the USA, will this camera work with my Euro (UK & Bulgarian) flashguns (x3 ex580ii) and with an assortment of Pocket Wizard triggers?
*** my concern is with the frequencies ***
I have a lot of old Canon gear that I want to make use of - as they all still work perfectly. The x2 40D’s will be ‘retired’, once the 7Dii arrives. (Still searching for a 2nd 7Dii gripped with very low shutter count).
Current kit:-
EF-s 10-22mm, 55-250mm, 18-55 IS STM
EF 100mm 2.8 macro, 24mm, 50mm ii
I recently bought the Godox AD300 pro system with an assortment of accessories and modifiers.
I want to kick-start a working studio to teach practical photography basics & I will eventually pickup used x2 5D iii /5D4 gripped.
My idea is to use the x2 7Dii for exclusive outdoor street/birding/general photography that the student will have identically setup to mine.
In-studio, I will use exclusively Full-Frame cameras (perhaps mirrorless), to get fine quality images. Again, the student camera will be identically setup and configured to mine.
thanks in advance….
EF:- 100mm f/2.8 macro, 50mm f/1.8, 24mm f/2.8
EF-s:- 55-250mm, 10-22mm, 18-55mm
Flashes:- x4 580exii, MT-24ex, Godox AD300Pro
Triggers:- x5 PW TT5s & x2 PW TT1s & x3 Godox X-Pro

The built-in flash of the EOS 7D Mark II uses optical wireless - the flash itself fires the control signals as visible light - and the same system is used by the Speedlite 580X II. So these will work even with a camera body from USA and a Speedlite from Uk/Bulgaria.
Pocket Wizards may be a different matter as USA and European units use a different radio frequency, and as far as I am aware it is not possible to change this easily.
According to the Pocket Wizard website…
North & South America and parts of Asia = 340.00 to 354.00 MHz FCC/US
Europe, India, China, and other countries = 433.62 – 434.22 MHz CE
Japan = 315.50 – 317.00 MHz

** UPDATE **
Yesterday, I received my 7Dii (used) much earlier than scheduled - so that’s great news!
importantly, I have been successfully testing out and configuring the camera. Just earlier I mounted the PW TT1 trigger on-camera with x3 580exii setup with x3 PW TT5s - all absolutely working perfectly.
in addition to this, the MT-24ex mounted with a PW TT5 transceiver also syncs perfectly with my 7Dii with the TT1 trigger.
I am both completely overjoyed & overwhelmed. The ‘snaps’ are all pin-sharp sooc - I cannot believe the clean image quality produced by this camera.
(I am guessing that this must be a refurbished unit!). Regardless, it works perfectly well for my hobbyist purposes.

Yep.
thank you for this reply. A matter of ‘wait & see’. Once the camera arrives I will try the flashes individually on the camera to ensure they all sync.
if the PW triggers do not work - no big loss, I will just have to buy YN or a Canon Transmitter.
