Speedlite 470EX-AI How To View Power Indicator

  • Hello, anyone knows how to view the power indicator for the battery life on the canon 470ex-ai speedlite? I would like to know how much battery i have before i need to replace the batteries. Thank you.

When the speedlite is fully charged the pilot light will be red. When it's recharging it will be green. The pilot light will be out when the speedlite is discharged or turned off.

Thanks for the reply, i was asking about an indicator that shows the battery life before you have to change the batteries. 

Only the EL-1 and EL-5 speedlites have a power indicator level. No other speedlites from Canon offer this feature.

That looks like a 600EX or 600EX-RT series speedlite. Not the 470EX-AI speedlite.

Yes I own a 600EX-RT but still can't find that display. I searched for it for a long time

That looks like a Yongnuo version of the 600EX. Looking at the picture of that flash the MODE text is printed on the black plastic next to the button, Canon 600EX and 600EX II have mode on the button itself.
The Canon 600EX and 600EX II don’t have a battery indicator at all on the LCD display.
