Rebel T7 External Flash Recommendations Needed

Hello, I am trying to up my photo game and in doing so some of the photos I take with a flash are so bright or makes things not look natural. I was going to get an external flash to add to my T7 but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I was reading online that the Speedlite EL-100 or Speedlite 430EX III-RT Camera Flash was good for the T7. But I wasn’t sure if someone has used either and recommended something else. Thanks

What features do you need specifically in a speedlite. Also what is your budget to spend on a speedlite.
