Choosing a speedlight

I am trying to find a good comparison site or someone with information on a great speedlite to purchase for my 60d.

I am a beginning photographer and want something decent to start off with but not top of the line with a super high price point. I would rather have something middle of the road at first.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Consider a 430EX II.

Some folks have good results with 3rd party flashes and others have had problems with them.
