Canon mr-14ex ii ring flash with Sigma 105mm f/2.8 (filter diameter 62mm) compatibility

I am trying to find an adapter that matches my Canon mr-14ex ii ring flash with Sigma 105mm f/2.8 macro lens (which has a 62mm thread).

Macrolite adapter are not available in this size, are there any other options for me?

I've been sold a 62 to 67 step up ring and a 62 to 58 step down ring, which both obviously don't work.

It has to be a step down as the ring flash is smaller in diamater than the lens, but I'm not sure which one to get. Appreciate the help!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I put a 62 to 58 step down ring on, then get a macrolite 58C adapter, will that work? Any easier ways with only one ring/adapter?

Shot of going to a machine shop and having them make you a custom adapter, then probably the best method is the 62 to 58 step down adapter then the Canon macrolite adapter 58C.

What body is the lens on?  If it's a crop-sensor, a 62-58 stepdown will be fine. The full image coming through the lens is cropped by the APS-C sensor anyway, so there's no coverage loss. And if you're doing macro close-up work, you aren't making use of the lens's full area of coverage even on a full-frame body.

Perfect I'll see how this goes, thanks!

Good point. Canon r10, so shouldn't be an issue

Unfortunately, macrolite adapter 58c seems to be unavailable literally everywhere! Any potential sources you guys can think of? Based in Aus, but happy to purchase from anywhere.
