I purchased this flash about a year ago and noticed the green light comes on VERY briefly when I turn the flash on then immediately turns red even with freshly installed batteries. Should I be concerned? The flash will fire but I am not certain it's firing how it's supposed to. Thank you for any thoughts you can provide!

Do you mean the flash ready / test flash button? That is what it is supposed to do. Green means charging and ready for quick-flash and Red means fully charged and ready to shoot.
