Canon Speedlite 430EX III-RT

Will the ST-E3-RT Speedlite Transmitter trigger the Canon Speedlite 430EX III-RT  ?

Yes.  The key is the "RT" designation in the product names.  The ST-E3-RT, the 430EX III-RT, and the 600EX-RT can all use Canon's "radio" communication.

The ST-E3-RT can ONLY work in "radio" mode and does not have a focus-assist beam (unlike the ST-E2 transmitter ... which did have a focus-assist beam).  If you need an on-camera radio trigger AND you need a focus-assist beam then you'd want to use a 600EX-RT flash as the master instead of the ST-E3-RT.

The 600EX-RT is the conspicuously better buy right now, as it's on sale at the big New York store for only about $200 more than the functionally lame ST-E3-RT. I'd think that its smaller size and lighter weight would be the only sensible reasons to buy the snandalone transmitter.
