Any updates for wireless issue with 600-EX-RT series and EL-1 Speedlites?

Does anyone know if Canon has addressed the wireless link issue with the RT flashes? I'm surprised Canon hasn't released some sort press release apologizing and acknowledging that their RT flashes no longer work anymore and that they are looking into some sort of fix or send in program?

I agree, except I verified the fix with my 600 EX-RT flashes. The link seems very stable now. I'm pretty happy about this.

Could you send a link to the firmware you used to update your 600 EX-RTs? I’ve tried to locate it to no avail. I also use an STE-3. Does this need to be updated as well? Same link?

I was about to give up on the flashes and super excited to hear a firmware update has finally been given!! I look forward to your further details!! Thank you!!!
