I just discovered that my Speedlite 430 EX II won't turn off. When i flip the switch to off, nothing happens. The speedlight stays on. What should I do to fix this?

If you have any thoughts of fixing it yourself, take the batteries out, and fire it a few times to drain the capacitors before you open it up. High-voltage electronic devices, even small ones, can deliver a painful shock if you're not careful.

Painful shock is an understatement. It only takes 25 mA to stop the heart.
