Transferring RAW files

biancasader

I need to transfer the files from my T6 to my computer, however, everytime I tried to do so, I could only see half of them. I tried changing the USB, using directly the SD card, looking for hidden files, but every time I can only see 20 of the 40 photos I have. On the camera, I see all of them.

What can I do to get my files?

What operating system are you using?

Are you perhaps capturing RAW+JPEG?  Since the value is exactly half, just wondering if you actually have 20 shots you made then 20 RAW and 20 JPEG.

In addition to rs-eos" questions, what software are you using.

Some, like LR and Apple Photos treat RAW & JPEG with same name as one photo,

"What can I do to get my files?"

This is for a Windows machine but I suspect a Mac works similarly.  Put the SD card in a reader or if the computer has an SD slot use that.  Open File Explorer (Windows) just like any HD or thumb drive.  You will see all files. You can drag and drop if you want.

BTW, if you are using LR, it should show you all files when you select Import. The ones it isn't going to transfer are greyed out.

If you are using PS, you need to be in Bridge. It will show you all your photos  just like File Explorer.
