Camera : Canon eos rebel t6s

Computer : Windows 10 home 64b. 1803

Question :  How to view the CR2 images in any Windows 10 folders?

I like to copy images from camera to Windows folder for viewing and selecting before post processing them in PhotoShp.

Thanks.

Thank you, Waddissle.

I have found Fast Raw Viewer and it works easier than other similar apps.

Thank you again.

Some camera models produce RAW files that MS Windows cannot read.  Make sure that you have Windows Media Player installed, because it includes many of the drivers to read various types of media files.

Personally, I use Canon’s DPP to browse folders.

@hKuenph,

There is no native .cr2 support in windows after the T5i rebel.

Use DDP, Irfan view or similar.  This is a Microsoft thing, not Canon

Expand the details section.

Someday MS might release an updated codec pack.

If you have PS you also have Bridge. It comes with it free.  It will do everything you want from viewing to moving to copying, deleting, tagging, whatever.  Just use Bridge instead of any MS software although all the MS stuff works with my 1DX.

I always say to use what works for you but Fast Raw Viewer doesn't come close to what the free Bridge does. Plus Bridge is coupled to your PS.

Thanks, Ebiggs.

The point is that do not need a good app.  All I need is to view the images.  Fast Raw Viewer can provide this simple function.

Thanks again.
