Sometimes you just take the shot!

Another backyard photo during sunset.  Once I saw the plane enter that empty space, I just took the shot without trying to make any adjustments.  I like the colors in the sky and that plane entering the empty space made it that much more interesting (IMO).  I don't mind images being blurred if the scene can create a story of some sort or if the image portrays itself as something surreal.  If you can capture it, you should take it.  Everything can't be perfect, especially, when an opportunity presents itself.  I've missed a lot of shots trying to get everything right only to miss the entire scene in that moment.  All I have is a memory and nothing else.  So, just take the darn photo!!!  😎

Thanks!  When it's cloudy and you wait right at dusk, you can get some beautiful colors in my area.

I like your comment about “Everything can’t be perfect…”  I sometimes find myself culling photos because they aren’t “perfect.”  After the fact, I wish I had kept many of those files, despite being not perfect.  An imperfect image can be beautiful just the same and can still evoke emotion.  Thanks for putting that into perspective.  Just take the darn photo!  Words to live by!

Hello Kris, thanks.  Lately, when I'm culling photos, I've taken the time and to see whether the photo is of any interest or tells a story regardless if it's imperfection.  Some photos I know are not good and I don't waste  time with them, however, if there's a story or it shows something that peaks my interest, I will keep it and later go back and decide on how I want to edit it in Lightroom.  Black and White can save a lot of images and so can some of the presets that are installed. There's always a story to tell whether it's perfect or not.

Cheers!

Beautiful colors! Just think, the people seated on the port side are seeing that, too.

Yes, those colors go a long way.  I'm always going out on the deck in the evening time just to see what colors or cloud cover that is present.  I have so many sunset photos, I don't know where to begin with processing. 😂
