Remarkable photo! People connect lighthouses with the oceans and not the Great Lakes.

Thanks, John! I've always been stumped on why people don't connect lighthouses with the Great Lakes. Michigan alone has 129 lighthouses, and the other states that border the lakes, as well as Canada, have so many more. However, many folks who have never seen the Great Lakes are surprised that you can't even see across the width, let alone the length of the lakes.
