"Stairway"

One of the styles of photography I've been following is "liminal" photography, which unfortunately some people think is just a snapshot of an empty place.

It is my understanding that liminality in photography is characterized by an empty space, something within the frame that implies "from-to" (i.e. from one space to another), that implies some sort of story that were there to be people in the frame would be demonstrated.

Deep down, most photographers are trying to freeze time for people who don't realize how fast life is moving. Please ask for an invite to my Knowledge Base articles for tips on teaching photography, composition, and non-compensated product reviews.
