Action is constant in soccer and I was out of position when a scoring drive on one end of the field quickly turned into a great fingertip save on the other end.
This was shot with a 1DX III and EF 400 f2.8 @ 1/1600, f2.8 and the sharpness of the lens combined with the excellent 1DX III sensor allowed it to retain a lot of detail in an image cropped from just under 20% of the total sensor area.
