What is the massive building behind these white buildings?

The White building are where the Guards use to stay at, and the Large Building is the old Historical Preston Castle school of industry and then changed to Preston youth prison, later, and has been closed since the 1960's.

Preston Castle is open to self guided tour or guided tours. it is located in Ione, CA

LOL I thought the white building--because they look so institutional--were the prison barracks.  The ornate building is fascinating.
