You don't often see an Egret perched in a tree. Nice grab Rick.

Thanks Marc. This bird had just finished fishing and was wet. He was perched in the wind preening himself. I shot this from a boat with a 17 mph cross wind. I used a pillow to steady myself. Shot is straight out of the camera.

Moving boat at 200 yard and SOOC, then I would change my first post to excellent grab given the shooting conditions.

I don't feel that the image above truly represents the capabilities of this lens. The detail is striking.

Amazing detail for a "budget" lens. 😏

Precisely!
I'm not into birds, but I'll be watching now because of the possibilities to stretch out and learn something new.
I'm no longer into flowers, but I'll not be avoiding them anymore because avoidance removes opportunity and I've missed out.
Opening possibility in turn opens the creativity which brings us the joy we wanted to feel when we first picked up a camera.
I always get charged up looking at what people post here even if it isn't my style because I can see their joy.
I appreciate everyone's willingness to share.
