We'll give you a pass on the framing, since the picture was evidently taken by a passerby. But it needed fill flash (lose the sunglasses!), which might have had the secondary effect of mitigating the blown highlights.

Aha, I see. The idea is to get your grandson interested in photography. And if he's willing to lug around your 1Ds3, you may have already succeeded!

I hope someone else lugged it around.  It probably weighed in at nearly 10% of the kid's weight.  I'll say this, though.  The kid either has very steady hands, or a tripod for his left arm.  Smiley Wink

You wanna see some my four year old grandson took?  He went with us too.

No doubt, it is better than this one, which was taken by a deck hand with my 6D and EF 24-105 f/4L IS USM.

That's me on the Hudson River near Kingston, NY.  I'm 6'9" tall, and much older than I might  look.  I turn 69 years old this year.

Wad, man, You are TALL! You must have set up the camera b/4 handing it off. Your last comment cracked me up about the kid with the tripod for an arm...lol You DO look younger than your age. , I would probably reach your elbow (4'11")Liz (not to be confused w/ Biggs' wife)
