Perched atop the rugged bark of an ancient oak, a grey squirrel indulges in a serendipitous find—a succulent apple. This vivid snapshot captures the essence of autumn's generosity as the squirrel, with its bushy tail elegantly arched, enjoys the fruits of the season against a backdrop of dappled greenery. The image is a charming reminder of nature's simple pleasures and the small wonders that abound in the world around us

The mark of good photographer is less what they hold in their hand, it's more what they hold in their head;
"All the variety, all the charm, all the beauty of life is made up of light and shadow", Leo Tolstoy;
"Skill in photography is acquired by practice and not by purchase" Percy W. Harris

Thank you

Excellent photo. An outdoor magazine said that squirrels are opportunistic feeders. We think of nuts but fruits, etc. are the fare.

I'm glad you enjoyed the photo! Yes, squirrels are indeed opportunistic feeders. While nuts are a well-known part of their diet, they also enjoy a variety of other foods like fruits, seeds, and even small insects. Their adaptable feeding habits help them thrive in diverse environments. Your observation is spot on!
