Autumn colour and a mighty bear

VinodCL

I was very clear in my mind while planing my bear photography trip to Finland that I wanted the bear in the colourful autumn background. Here I used a narrow aperture to get the background landscape to play a part in the, otherwise, a bear focused picture. Canon EOS R6, Canon 70-200 mm IS II. Shutter 1/1250, F/8, ISO 4000. _M3A1797-En.jpg

The low vantage point makes me feel like I could become lunch!

Thank you for taking notice and commenting. I deliberately went for a low angle shot.

Thanks for sharing. Magnificent creature. Me? I would opt for a 600mm lens and 2X magnifier. The farther away, the better and downwind, too. Many Americans never think of other countries having wildlife as the bear, deer, etc.

Finland is a country that I'm very fortunate to have visited many times and it is truly a beautiful place. I've not seen bears there myself but I really like your photo.

That's a gorgeous image of a magnificent creature - I have a particular affinity for bears, having lived with them (so to speak) when domicile in western Canada.   I have never visited Finland, but it's clearly a home of some great wildlife, and you have captured this one beautifully.
